Table Tennis in Room 3

We are learning to play Table Tennis in Room 3! The video above is to remind us of the rules and encourage us to play at home if we can. If you have any spare bats/ paddles at home that we could use at school – we would really appreciate you sending them in.

Table Tennis is especially great for these wet days when we are stuck inside during break times.

We will post video of the students actually playing  next week.

Happy Matariki

We

We celebrated Matariki by making some Digital Art and  paper weaving in a week that saw students taking part in the Kapa Haka Festival, all the class watching Waiapehu College’s WHAT Show and some students go to the Planetarium and get and amazing view of the universe!

Week 8 update

Kia Ora Koutou,

The last few weeks Room 3 have been working well. We have been doing some activities around team work and how important it is to work together. In Writing we’ve been working on planning, this will help us when we’re writing. In Math we have been learning about data, data collection and the different kinds of graphs. Bar graph and Line Charts.

Thanks for popping by,

Matua Andrew & Matua Livi

Levin Seniors, Cardboard Boat Challenge

The Challenge: Build a Cardboard Boat that one class member can use to race across the pool.

First Step: Get into groups, investigate and make a plan.

Step Two: Build a model boat to test out our ideas.

Step Three: Go to the pool and test out our boats.

Results: 2 boats filled with water and the remaining ones , well, just kept on floating. In fact, we had to stop because the bell was about to go.

Images from the pool!

Welcome to Room 3, 2024

Welcome to our brand new blog – a space to share our learning journey for 2024.

Here are some amazing pictures we created of ourselves by describing our looks (in writing) for Matua Andrew to then run through an image creator. Such amazing technology. Enjoy
